This romantic flowering shrub is known for its star-shaped, purple to red-colored buds and needle-like greenery. Waxflower is sometimes referred to as Geraldton Wax, named after its native town in Australia, and is a part of the Myrtle family, Myrtaceae. It is often incorporated as a sweet filler flower in many lush floral bouquets, especially in bridal bouquets and wedding arrangements.
